The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction in a transmission, substation, gas utility or other energy/utility related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (or significant work experience) preferred
  • Demonstrated supervision experience leading people and jobs
  • OSHA 30 training (preferred), OSHA 10 training (required)
  • Must be willing and able to travel (>50%)
  • Must have experience at managing construction projects in the utility and or infrastructure industry (bridges, buildings, heavy civil, and other projects)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Safety oriented
  • Track record of being able to recruit crews
  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred)

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and implement construction schedules
  • Oversee field manpower and subcontractors
  • Control the jobsite for labor, equipment, material and services
  • Work with safety leadership and field personnel to ensure CJ Drilling’s safety program is followed on each project
  • Responsible for CJ Drilling’s quality program on each project
  • Participate in bid reviews and ensure that quality and financial projections are met in the field
