The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction in a transmission, substation, gas utility or other energy/utility related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (or significant work experience) preferred
- Demonstrated supervision experience leading people and jobs
- OSHA 30 training (preferred), OSHA 10 training (required)
- Must be willing and able to travel (>50%)
- Must have experience at managing construction projects in the utility and or infrastructure industry (bridges, buildings, heavy civil, and other projects)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Safety oriented
- Track record of being able to recruit crews
- Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred)
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and implement construction schedules
- Oversee field manpower and subcontractors
- Control the jobsite for labor, equipment, material and services
- Work with safety leadership and field personnel to ensure CJ Drilling’s safety program is followed on each project
- Responsible for CJ Drilling’s quality program on each project
- Participate in bid reviews and ensure that quality and financial projections are met in the field
